Farmhouse Chef Jamie’s Sausage Bolognese Recipe

1 pound sausage links, sliced in disks (pork, chicken or lamb)
4 minced garlic cloves
1 quart Nello’s Marinara Sauce
1/4 cup dry red wine
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Italian style cheese, plus extra for serving
1 pound cooked Melina’s fettuccine or ricotta gnocchi

In a large skillet or frying pan, cook sausage until brown on all sides. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute. Pour the wine into the skillet and stir to scrape up any browned bits. Add the Nello’s Sauce and bring to a boil. Lower the heat, and simmer for 10 minutes.

Add the cream to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring until thickened. Add the sauce to the cooked pasta with the 1/2 cup grated cheese and toss well. Serve hot with extra grated cheese to garnish.
