We raise our own chickens from our own flock of Rhode Island Reds each year. After being incubated and hatched on-farm, the chicks are moved outside to reach maturity on green grass and pasture. Once they start laying, the hens are continuously moved through the pastures and gardens where they get as much as 30% of their diet from what they forage and the rest from a local grain mix.
